As this summer slowly comes to a close, you’ve still got a bit of time to head out to the ocean for a luxury spin on some of the best jet skis on the market right now. And what are they? Take a read, as Australia Business News presents you with the Top 5 Jet Skis for 2021!
1. Sea-Doo Spark Trixx
Coming in at the top spot is the coolest jet ski of them all, the Sea-Doo Spark Trixx!
Packed full of strength, this lightweight model is the perfect build for the adventurous type. The Sea-Doo Spark Trixx is designed for all types of tricks, and comes with multiple delivery modes including a dedicated “wheelie mode”! You can’t get more adventurous than that!
Even better, this fantastic jet ski is powered by the Austrian built 89cc Rotax 900 ACE engine. It’s capable of 90 horsepower, and built around a lightweight Polytec composite hull. Sizing up at 194kg, it maintains an excellent power to weight ratio.
To top things off, the Sea-Doo Spark Trixx also features an IBR kit (intelligent brake and reverse) for extra security, a closed-loop cooling system for preventing saltwater damage, adjustable handlebars and extra step wedges for added performance.
2. Yamaha EXR
Runner-up on our list of the Top 5 Jet Skis for 2021 is the Yamaha EXR.
The Yamaha EXR is a powerful and popular model that’s both agile and powerful, yet perfectly comfortable.
Equipped with Yamaha’s Ride dual throttle system, this lightweight recreational PWC includes an additional lever on the left handlebar, making docking and reversing super easy.
The Yamaha EXR also comes with a 1049cc inline-three engine. This fantastic engine is capable of producing 100 horsepower and enabled via a 144mm high-pressure pump with a stainless steel impeller.
To top it off, the Yamaha EXR contains a hull built from a lightweight fibreglass-based sheet moulding compound (SMC), allowing for top speeds of 54mph! Now that’s guaranteed fun!
3. Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R
Earning the bronze medal on our list is the Kawasaki Jet Ski SX-R.
Classed alongside the Kawasaki SuperJet, this four-stroke power stand-up watercraft bears some remarkable differences to its predecessor.
Most noticeable is its sleeker, modern aesthetic. The bow shape is much more pronounced than the SuperJet, with a longer and wider handle, making it an overall sturdier model.
While the added weight makes it a more planted ride, it’s a little less playful as a result. However, with an impressive 1498cc engine generating 160 horsepower (that features an extra cylinder for extra speed and thrust), it’s easily one of the faster PWCs on this list.
Extra features include a magnetic key, decent storage area, a plush hydro-turf padded deck… Oh, and you can collapse it into compact form for storage after use!
Pretty impressive, right?
4. Narke Electrojet
Coming in at number 4 on our list of the Top 5 Jet Skis for 2021 is the Narke Electrojet.
Talk about history in the making – this Hungarian model is the first electro-powered PWC in the world!
Built entirely from carbon fibre, the eco-conscious device is equipped with all the high-tech electronics you could ask for. Optional upgrades including smartphone-connectivity, a wireless MOB system and an integrated quick charger.
It’s impressively fast, too. Built with a lithium-ion battery pack and 45kW three phase asynchronous electric motor, the Narke Electrojet is capable of reaching 95 horsepower, with speeds of up to 50mph and up to 90 minutes riding time on a single charge.
And it’s stylish as! The uniquely modern design features sharp angular lines and a sleek aggressive hull. There’s also a dozen colour choices to choose from!
5. Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod
Coming in at number 5 on our list – and at over 16′ in length – the Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod is the pinnacle of luxury yacht toys.
Featuring a beautiful hull made out of carbon fibre, this incredible PWC comes with a Corvette-style, all-aluminium supercharged 6.2L V8 engine capable of generating a phenomenal 300 horsepower, with top speeds reaching 65mph.
Other features of this incredible watercraft include LED lighting throughout, as well as a 15″ touchscreen display, battery switch, premium sound system and under-seat cooler. There is also the option for a V8 Turbo Diesel engine, underwater camera, carbon fibre inlays, teak wood deck and a GPS system, plus a whole lot more!
To top it off, the Strand Craft V8 Wet Rod comes with side RAM-air intakes and dual-exhausts, positioned at the midpoint of the port and starboard.
The result? A mighty fine PWC with a distinctly hot-rodded feel!
