Nissan recalls millions of cars

Japanese automotive company Nissan is recalling more than 3.8 million vehicles due to a fault in the passenger side airbag. The global recall comes after the automotive company admitted that it knew of numerous collisions where the airbags did not function properly.

The widespread fault is in the sensor that registers whether the seat is occupied by an adult, a child, or not at all. The failure of this sensor has led to “moderate injuries” of those in collisions. Nissan has stated that it is currently developing a solution to the fault.
