Instagram videos extended up to 60 seconds

If you’re currently struggling to condense the amazement of what your business has to offer in just 15 seconds, then looks like Instagram might be here to the rescue. Since introducing video sharing in June 2013, the platform has limited users to a 15 second time frame.

As part of their continue commitment, the social media company announced in a blog post that users will soon have the flexibility to tell their stories in up to 60 seconds of video. Longer videos mean more diverse stories from the accounts everyone loves. They also stated that video watching has risen by 40% in the last six months so it’s no surprise they’re willing to extend how long they go for.

Another neat feature for iOS devices that they’re bringing back is the ability to make videos out of multiple clips from the camera roll. Not too long ago, they also introduced video view counts to see how many times a video has been watched rather than just the likes.

All of these features are so advantageous for businesses as there is more flexibility on what and how to post. It also assists with analytics for businesses to measure view counts and analyse what types of videos are getting the most views.

Thank you Instagram for making things a little easier.
