Four Twitter Executives Depart

On Sunday, four head executives of social media platform, Twitter have exited the company. A major investor in Twitter confirmed that Alex Roetter (head of engineering), Katie Stanton (head of media), Kevin Weil (head of product) and Jason Toff (head of Vine) have left.

Co-founder Jack Dorsey returned as CEO in October 2015 and the source saying these four were allies of former CEO Dick Costolo. They added that they “were not people in whom Jack has the highest faith.” The company has been trying to transform for mass appeal with potentially letting users share up to 10,000 characters at a time. Just last week, Dorsey also lost his billionaire status.

The exits have not yet been announced publicly and with rumours flying that a “high profile media personality” will join the board.
