Disney Plus Has Just Launched Down Under

Both Australia and New Zealand were in for a treat this month as Disney Plus launched this morning (November 19) and by the looks of things, it is already giving Netflix a run for its money as the new platform is becoming one of its biggest competitors.

Disney’s new platform is already cheaper in comparison to competitors Netflix ($9.99 per month) and Stan ($10 per month) with the low-cost of $8.99 per month and $89.99 annually and provides subscribers access to 4K Ultra HD films.

Disney Plus launched over 600 films and 7000 TV episodes with the inclusion of all 29 seasons of ‘The Simpsons’. Popular film franchises such as Star Wars and The Avengers have been added to the already long list of content making the streaming platform the ultimate binge-worthy staple for all action and sci-fi lovers.

The platform offers ‘The Vault’ of Disney including classics such as “Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs”, “The Lion King”, and “Peter Pan”. It also offers a range of Marvel favourites such as “The Avengers” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” and unlocks Disney Channel television gold, “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and “That’s So Raven”. Disney plus also graces it viewers with an array of its own original series including a live-action Star Wars series, “The Mandalorian” and a High School Musical series!

Disney+ will be available in Western Europe (UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain) on March 31 2020.
