Company Directors for Clive Palmer’s Nickel Operation have announced this morning that the company has entered Voluntary Administration.
FTI Consulting will be handling the affairs of the company as voluntary administration as of this morning after sacking 237 workers on Friday. The Layoffs came after the Queensland Government refused to loan the company a $35 Million Bailout.
FTI Consulting, in an announcement this morning, acknowledged that Queensland Nickel would continue to trade while the company’s financial position was ascertained. For Queensland Nickel’s employees, it is business as usual for the time. However there is no telling what the future holds for the mining company.
