Blue Haven Pools Raises $6000 For Multiple Sclerosis

On Friday September 28th at Doltone House Sylvania, Blue Haven Pools sat amongst a crowd raising awareness and funds for Multiple sclerosis (MS). Blue Haven Pools helped raise $6000 on the night and were also the very lucky raffle winner of the car!

Blue Haven’s generosity didn’t stop there. The car was instantaneously given away by the CEO Remonda Martinez to her good friend Julie who sitting by her side at the event.

Remonda commented on the night, “Being able to give freely is one of the greatest joys in life. Most of the time it’s most valued when its given in time or by lending a humble hand. Tonight’s event was full of giving and so much love and I pray that our support brings enough relief to those who need it most:”

The charity event was hosted by Val from Vacci Real Estate, but Blue Haven’s connection with MS was sparked by Remonda’s childhood friend Angelo Lofitis, who now operates Century 21 Dulwich Hill.

Angelo married highschool sweetheart Megan, and before the birth of their daughter, Megan was diagnosed with MS.

Over the years, Martinez has seen Megan be faced with many challenges, but has maintained positivity and resilience. We suspect the cause of her unwavering smile, comes from the love and support of her adoring husband Angelo and the blessing of a smart, vibrant, talented daughter.

Angelo led the way in fundraising for MS, initiating the MS GONG RIDE which quickly became TOP RAISERS, whilst also actively seeking the support of many loving friends and business acquaintances.

For several years, Remonda has personally supported her friends which quickly evolved into a corporate sponsorship as their group of Top Raisers made jerseys and amplified their fundraising. In 2016, for the first time ever, Remonda participated in the bike ride from City to Wollongong – 100 kilometres and did it in under 6 hours. It was the feat of her life!

Remonda is again challenged to ride this year. Can her legs handle it?
