Making sure you feel at home

Moving to residential aged care can be a daunting experience, but at Lulworth House, the staff are here to make the move into your new home as stress free as possible. You will have the choice of a single or double bedded (twin share) room, each room with its own ensuite bathroom. Rooms feature high quality fittings as well as a sitting area, built in wardrobe and flat screen TV. All of our rooms have a dedicated space for residents to bring their own furniture and selected personal items from home, as those little touches truly assist in making a house a home. You can also choose optional access to a private telephone, a choice of daily newspapers, Foxtel channels and private internet.

Throughout Lulworth House here are open spaces for relaxing or for wellness and social activities such as the reading room, sitting room, garden room, private dining rooms, veranda’s, and the beautiful, enchanting garden. A laundry and meal service area is available on each floor, and our hair salon is open twice a week. To really make you feel at home, our seasonal menus cater to individual needs and tastes. If you have any special dietary requirements all you need to do is let the staff know and they will work with you to create menu options just for you.

Moving to residential aged care doesn’t mean your life has to slow down or stop. Lulworth House also offer a range of different health services and outings. You may wish to join our excursions to art galleries, musicals, flower festivals or just go for a bus ride to Centennial Park for example. You are also encouraged to remain active within your community and social groups wherever possible, whether it involves going to a meeting or hosting a meeting at Lulworth, we can help you to achieve this.

Knowing the area

Elizabeth Bay is one of the most sought after suburbs in Sydney, and Lulworth House is located in the heart of the bay adjacent to St Luke’s Private Hospital. Lulworth House is a 154-bed purpose built aged care facility of the highest standard, with top quality services, staff and living conditions. Our goal is to make you feel at home and provide you with a caring, relaxed and loving atmosphere that promotes your dignity, choice and respect.

The rich history of Lulworth House residential care has dated back to 1983 when the facility first opened, and since then has upheld a first class reputation. The house itself was originally built in 1870 and was once the home of the distinguished Australian author, the late Patrick White until purchased by St Luke’s in 1938. The heritage listed building is centred on a beautiful garden courtyard which is loved by residents and staff alike. The now purpose built Lulworth house still retains its character and heritage whilst also being up-to-date with the best facilities and services available today.
