Show love, anger or a wow reaction on Facebook with new reactions

The long-lived dilemma of being uncertain whether or not to ‘like’ a friend’s sad post has come to an end. Today Facebook has introduced reactions, which offers a range of options to express exactly how you feel without having to comment. Scrolling through one’s newsfeed has become a daily ritual for Facebook users to get updates from friends and family. Now, you are able to more specifically show how you feel with the options of like, love, haha, wow, sad and angry.

To add a reaction, simply hold down the Like button on mobile or hover over the Like button on desktop to see the reaction image options. Facebook revealed on their newsroom that they conducted global research including focus groups and surveys to determine the types of reactions people would want to use most.

Today is our worldwide launch of Reactions -- the new Like button with more ways to express yourself. Not every moment... Posted by Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday, February 24, 2016
